Blue Canyon – Closed May 1st to 31st of August
The Blue Canyon is situated in a hilly, rugged area of the rain forest, of volcanic origin. For the most part it is densely clad in native forest, to the west; the ranges are bordered by the Tasman Sea, in a series of high sea cliffs and wild beaches. The Blue Canyon trip takes you to the heart of the Waitakere Ranges. You will get to experience New Zealand’s beautiful native forest, and have the opportunity to see our native wildlife.
Make your trip as easy or as challenging as you wish, big jumps and slides are optional and you can control your own descent while abseiling or be lowered by a guide if you’d prefer.
From the word go we will have you jumping into deep dark pools – The first half of the canyon is a great warm up with a variety of jumps and water slides. After the spectacular Jurassic Park abseil it’s time for lunch and hot drinks. The second half of the trip has bigger jumps, slides and abseils. The Blue canyon is something not to be missed; it’s a great day out that will definitely impress you.
