We depart Auckland 6pm every evening, returning at 11.45pm. To run the trip we need a minimum of 4 people, this means you can either get a group together yourself or mark yourself down on a departure date as a keen starter and join in with another group.

Fully suited up in wetsuits, harnesses, helmets and headlamps we set off into the bush at night-fall. The sunset fading we venture into darkness. Abseiling under a waterfall into the canyon you begin your trip! You and your guide will then explore your way through the narrow canyon including pools, caves and jumps, illuminated only by your headlamp and the glow worms on the walls.

Completing the canyon we take five minutes with headlamps off surrounded by glow worm communities as we enjoy chocolate and marshmallows!

Night Canyoning – $165 per person

Depart Auckland from the Sky Tower (corner of Victoria st West and Federal st) at 430pm in winter or 630pm in summer. Return approximately 930pm or 1130pm.

You need to bring swimsuit, towel and spare shoes to get wet (trainers etc). We do have some spare sets available that your welcome to use if you don’t have anything suitable.

Cancellation Policy – Should you cancel your booking or  “no show” within 24 hours of the trip you booked going ahead you will be charged for full payment.

This activity is suitable for most people as you choose the pace and level of adventure, there are ways around the jumps and caves if necessary!

Also ideal for Christmas parties, sales teams, stag and hen groups, birthdays. Canyoning can be combined with BBQ or catered food at one of the venues in Piha – Bowling club, Piha Cafe, Piha surf club. Or with accommodation options. Let us come up with a plan for your group!

Minimum age 10 years (accompanied by an adult).
